If you’re looking for a way to stay hydrated on a hot day, you have to try this citrus infused water. Water tastes so much better when it’s infused with fruit! This easy drink is delicious and refreshing – it’s just perfect for summertime.

We’re heading into the warmer months, and one thing that’s on my mind is staying hydrated. It’s easy to forget to drink enough when you’re on the go with fun summer activities.

I love to drink infused water when I remember to make it. Ice water is great on its own, but I love the flavor of water and fruit. This citrus blackberry infused water is one of my favorite combinations.

    Benefits

One of the benefits of drinking infused water is that it looks and tastes better than plain water. The refreshing taste and appearance may make you more likely to drink water, which results in better hydration and better health.

You’ll love the light and summery orange and berry flavors in this beverage. No added sugar makes this a good choice to sip on all summer long.

    Fruits

You can use any fruits that you like when you’re making infused water. Try different berries, kiwi, melon, cucumbers, or limes.

If you’d like an even prettier drink, you may want to try this rainbow citrus infused water.

    Variations

    • Try sparkling water instead of regular water
    • Use a variety of different fruits like melon, strawberries, blueberries, or grapefruit
    • Make fruit ice cubes and add those to your pitcher to keep your drink cold

    Storage

Store infused water in the refrigerator. It should stay fresh for 2-3 days, but I think it tastes best when it’s consumed on the day it was made.

    Ingredients

    • 6 cups water
    • 1 orange sliced
    • 1 lemon sliced
    • ½ cup blackberries
    • ice
Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Place several blackberries, several orange slices, and several lemon slices in a carafe or pitcher. Add ice.
    • Pour filtered water over the fruit and ice. Place in the refrigerator to chill. Enjoy – the flavor improves after a couple of hours or more.

    Notes

You can change out the water once you drink it, but the second pitcher of water will not have as much flavor as the first.
If you keep reusing the fruit, you may notice a bitter taste from the pith of the orange and lemon. It’s best to use freshly sliced fruit each time you want to make a pitcher of infused water.
You can keep the infused water for 2-3 days, but I think it’s best when it’s freshly made.
