Rich with delicious chocolate flavor, this cocoa banana raspberry smoothie is a perfect breakfast or mid-morning snack!

Well, here we are in mid-February…how are you doing this winter? Have you been sticking to your resolutions if you made any? Are you feeling the effects of a lot of indoor time?

I know that I struggle a little bit to stick with a healthy routine in the winter months. I would much rather stay snug on the couch eating cozy casseroles and watching Parks and Rec reruns than exercise and eat my veggies. But alas, I care about my health and want to set a good example for my children, so I try to do what I can to have a healthy start to my day.

I love finding new ways to add nutrition to my smoothies, so I was excited to try out CocoaVia® Unsweetened Dark Chocolate Stick Packs. CocoaVia® is a daily cocoa extract supplement that delivers the highest concentration of cocoa flavanols, which are scientifically proven to promote a healthy heart by supporting healthy blood flow†.

Now, I think we’ve all heard that dark chocolate is good for you – (that’s why I have a hidden stash of dark chocolate in the pantry…shhh! ;) It’s for my health!). Chocolate is a fabulous treat, but it’s not a reliable way to get sufficient quantities of cocoa flavanols. Traditional cocoa processing, which includes drying, fermenting and roasting of beans, destroys many of the flavanols naturally present in the cocoa bean. CocoaVia® Supplement isolates the “good stuff” in chocolate in a convenient, versatile form, without all the calories and fat.

It’s the cocoa flavanols that give chocolate its health benefits, and the cocoa extract in CocoaVia® Cocao Extract Supplement is made using the patented Cocoapro® process.

The cocoa flavanols in CocoaVia® are backed by two decades of scientific research that suggests these powerful plant-derived nutrients  from cocoa beans may play a valuable role in cardiovascular health.

For more information about the CocoaVia® Brand, visit their website.

I love how easy it is to include CocoaVia® Unsweetened Dark Chocolate Stick Packs as part of my morning routine. Each pack is an individual serving. I simply put a frozen banana, a date, coconut milk, frozen raspberries, and one stick pack into the blender and blend on high speed until smooth.

That’s it! Drink up, and enjoy your day. This is a perfect breakfast or snack after your morning workout. When you take cocoa flavanols daily, you’re supporting healthy blood flow, which in turn supports brain health, skin health, and heart health. This smoothie is a delicious way to enjoy cocoa flavanols.

Allergen Statement: CocoaVia® Unsweetened Dark Chocolate Stick Packs are made in a facility that processes wheat, egg, soy and dairy.
