An easy recipe for microwave cherry crisp for one! A quick way to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Who loves cherries? I do, I do!
I know we are nearing the end of summer (I hate saying that), so I’m going to eat all the cherries I can while they are still available.
I love to eat cherries on my overnight oats, and they are also delicious when they are tucked inside vegan hand pies.
And there’s nothing I like more than a good fruit crisp – cherry crisp, apple crisp, any crisp! I was wondering if I could make an individual cherry crisp in the microwave – just a single serving to satisfy a craving. So I tried it, and yes, you can!
It just takes 90 seconds, and the cherries get nice and juicy, and there’s a buttery, sugary, oat topping, and it’s super good. And I just ate one serving, and that was it! Craving satisfied.

Tips to make this microwave cherry crisp a success:
Every microwave is different. I put mine at 70% power because it gets hot! I didn’t want cherries exploding, or oats catching on fire. You know how I love to set things on fire in my appliances. :( Your microwave may be different, but I would still recommend starting out with reduced power and keeping an eye on it.
Letting it sit and cool down is important so that the oats soften up a bit, and that way the cherries won’t burn your mouth. The oat topping does not get crisp like in the oven, but it’s still really good, and a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth in a hurry!
