If you are like me at all, then you know what it’s like to be in the middle of a recipe and realize that you are missing an ingredient. Usually when this happens, Darryl is able to come to my rescue and make a dash to the store to go grab whatever I’m missing.
But sometimes he’s not here, and the thing that’s missing is a spice…and that’s where this little printable comes in!
I was looking online at spice substitutions and found a nice list here. I knew I needed to make something to print out for the next time I needed it!
I definitely put some of the spices I am most commonly out of on this chart…chili powder, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie spice. It’s pretty normal for me to need nutmeg or cloves only to find that we have three jars of cinnamon and a bottle of cloves from 2004. :)
