This strawberry banana coconut smoothie is as pretty to look at as it is to drink! This dairy free smoothie is a delicious allergy friendly breakfast option.

This strawberry banana coconut smoothie is 100% for sure the easiest smoothie you will ever make. It’s so simple I wondered if I should post it, but it’s my favorite right now, so I figured why not?
One of the easiest breakfast options is a smoothie. If you have food allergies, it’s easy to make a smoothie that suits your dietary needs.
Dairy free? Use non-dairy milk or juice.
Nut free? Leave out any nut butters. I love to make this banana smoothie with sunbutter now that we have nut allergies in our house.
I know when I have a busy morning, I am desperate for a quick and healthy breakfast. Sometimes I have time to make a breakfast skillet or pancakes, but more often than not, I am in a hurry. A delicious, fresh, dairy free smoothie is just the thing to start my day.

Ingredient Notes
- Fruit – If you use frozen fruit, the smoothie will be thicker and frostier – that’s my preference. But fresh fruit will work, too! The smoothie will just be thinner. With the frozen bananas inside, it’s like drinking a frosty strawberry milkshake.
- Non-Dairy Milk – Any non-dairy milk that works for your diet should work well in a smoothie. Use whatever milk you like! Read my guide to dairy substitutes to learn more about plant based milks.
Substitutions
- If strawberries aren’t your favorite, feel free to use raspberries or blueberries instead.
- If you can’t have coconut, just leave out the coconut flakes, and use a different type of dairy free milk.
Storage
It doesn’t work too well to make smoothies ahead of time, especially if you use frozen fruit. The smoothie will separate, and the texture won’t be the best. Once you make your smoothie, drink it right away for the best quality.
