It’s here! My newest ebook is all done!
Allergy Free & Delicious is finished. I can’t believe it. The past few weeks have been a little bit hairy with trying to get this ebook finished, all of us having a cold at one point or another, our refrigerator deciding to be temperamental, and even my laptop scaring me by making me think it was ready to bite the dust.
But the ebook is finished, and I’m so excited to share it with you. The idea for this ebook has been brewing for a long time. As you may know, right now we are dairy free, egg free, wheat free, and tree nut free in our house. That’s a fair amount of ingredients to have eliminated from our diet. But I have been hearing from more and more readers that they have 5, 6, 7, even 10 different food allergies in their family. That’s a truly frustrating situation.
I knew that I wanted to create a collection of delicious, family friendly recipes that was free of the top 8 allergens. I want to make it easier for you to feed your families tasty, fresh, colorful food that is safe and fun to eat.
These are all recipes that my family loves. (We’ve had them multiple times in the last few months and we aren’t tired of them yet!) They are relatively simple to prepare – each recipe includes a photograph and easy to follow instructions.
I’ve been testing and re-testing these recipes to get them just right for you! I even had a group of readers testing these recipes for me as well. Their feedback was invaluable. A big thank you to that group of ladies! :)
These recipes are all free of wheat, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts,* fish, shellfish, sesame, and gluten.
They are all brand new recipes that I have not published on my blog before. There are recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, sides, and desserts. 40 recipes for delicious, vibrant food that is allergy friendly. 31 of these recipes are plant-based and suitable for a vegan diet, with two additional recipes that can be easily adapted to be vegan.
*Some of these recipes do contain coconut. The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) states: “Coconut is not a botanical nut; it is classified as a fruit, even though the Food and Drug Administration recognizes coconut as a tree nut. While allergic reactions to coconut have been documented, most people who are allergic to tree nuts can safely eat coconut. If you are allergic to tree nuts, talk to your allergist before adding coconut to your diet.”
Let’s take a peek at some of my favorites:
This ebook can be read on a computer, a tablet, or even your phone. It’s a PDF, so you just need a program like Adobe or Nuance to be able to read it. If you really wanted to, you could print it out, but it’s designed to be read on a screen.
With this ebook, I hope that you will be inspired and excited to get into the kitchen and prepare tasty, healthy, allergy friendly food for your friends and family.
Thank you so much for reading about Allergy Free and Delicious!
Thank you for reading, sharing, and commenting on my recipes each week. I feel like we have a little community here, and I truly appreciate all of you – you’re the best!

do you use cashews or almonds? I am allergic to drupes (coconut, almonds, cashews, avocados, pit fruits, macadamia nuts, etc…) and I was wondering what you use in your baking dishes.
Kelly
No cashews or almonds, but I do use coconut milk or coconut yogurt in many recipes. However, you could substitute another milk or yogurt that works with your diet. There is a breakfast quinoa recipe that includes coconut flakes, but those could be omitted, and there is a granola bar recipe that includes coconut flakes, but you could substitute hemp hearts, more oats, or a different dried fruit if you prefer.
Hope that helps!
Kelly
Also, there is one recipe for salad that uses avocado in the dressing, and one recipe that is topped with cherries, but again, you could substitute another fruit like strawberries.
