A fresh and tasty triple berry kiwi smoothie is the perfect way to start your morning! This smoothie is easy to make and so colorful!
Mornings can be so hectic sometimes!
You’re trying to get out the door, and it can be so hard to have time to prepare a tasty breakfast.
On busy mornings, I often turn to make ahead options like dairy free overnight oats, but a delicious smoothie can also be a good choice.
This smoothie has so many tasty berries in it, and blending them all together results in a beautifully vibrant smoothie! The addition of kiwi is a fun touch, especially during the winter months when they are in season.
Special Equipment
A good blender is important, especially when you’re blending up frozen fruit. Something like a Vitamix is great, but you can find blenders that are more affordable and still work well. I have an Oster blender and love it.
Tips for Success
- If you find that your frozen berries or the kiwi are too tart, you can add a little maple syrup or honey to sweeten this if needed, or any sweetener that works for your diet.
- Occasionally frozen strawberries are on the tart side – so if fresh fruit is in season, you can use that instead if you prefer!
- If you wanted to add more fiber and iron, you could throw some fresh kale or spinach in here. It shouldn’t change the flavor, but it will change the color – it won’t be such a vibrant shade of deep pink.
- You can also add chia seeds, flax seed meal, or hemp seed hearts (paid affiliate link) if you are interested in adding some protein to this smoothie. I didn’t choose to do that this time, but it’s a great option if you want this to have more staying power between meals.
