This vegan pumpkin pie milkshake is the perfect treat to enjoy during the Thanksgiving season!

Another week has flown by…and that means that we are seven days closer to Christmas! Â What? And I’m sure that you, like me, are totally done with your shopping and ready for the holidays. Right? Ha! Neither am I. I’m very unprepared, but never fear, I’m about to help you out. Today I bring to you holiday shopping ideas, and a milkshake recipe. A pumpkin pie milkshake recipe.
So, shopping first. I really, really hate to go out and shop at this time of year. The crowded mall is just not my scene. Especially not on Christmas Eve. (Although apparently it is my dad’s scene, as he was there shopping once on Christmas Eve and was actually interviewed by a news reporter!) I did not inherit his love for last minute adventure, I guess.
Anyway, I don’t like crowded malls, I don’t like trying to find a parking space, and I don’t like fighting with people to buy the same thing that everyone else is buying that year. I do, however, LOVE to shop online. So when Uncommon Goods contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in choosing something from their website and writing a post, I was happy to oblige.
First of all, their website is really well-organized. There are sections for gifts by recipient, like gifts for her, for him, and my favorite, gifts for kids and baby, which you can find right here. There is even a section just for Christmas gifts – click here to see all of them! Over half of their items are handmade, which is wonderful. I love to purchase handmade items for holiday gifts. There’s something so special about buying something that someone made with their hands.
Now, what did I choose? I had such a hard time, because there are so many lovely items to choose from. And so many of the things I saw on the site were not things that I have seen on other websites or in local stores, which is really nice if you are looking for a special holiday gift. Ultimately I decided on this gorgeous set of recycled glassware. Because each piece is handmade from recycled glass, each one is uniquely different. The colors are vivid and rich, and the glass is nice and heavy. I love these glasses. They were  delivered quickly, and I was impressed with the secure packaging. They arrived in perfect condition.
Now, what to fill them with, you ask? How about a pumpkin pie milkshake? Okay! Here’s the recipe I came up with.

Vegan Pumpkin Pie Milkshake.
This vegan pumpkin pie milkshake is a delicious treat that's perfect for the Thanksgiving season!
Ingredients
- 1 pint non-dairy vanilla ice cream softened
- 7 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 2/3 cup non-dairy milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon plus a dash more for topping
- dash of nutmeg
- 4 graham crackers I used gluten free, crushed
Instructions
-
Crush your graham crackers into crumbs (a ziploc bag and a rolling pin works well).
-
Put the ice cream, non-dairy milk, pumpkin puree, spices, and half of the graham crackers into the blender. Blend on medium high until smooth.
-
Pour into glasses and top with the reserved graham cracker crumbs and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Recipe Notes
Be sure to check your brand of graham crackers to be sure they are vegan.
Enjoy!
P.S. If you are on a budget, the gifts under 50 section is a great place to start your shopping!
