  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Cut the tops of the heads of garlic, exposing the cloves.
  • Discard the tops. Place garlic heads on foil and drizzle generously with olive oil.
  • Close up the foil, making a little packet that keeps the garlic and oil sealed inside.
  • Place the foil packets directly on the oven rack. Roast at 375 degrees F for about 45-55 minutes until golden brown and very soft.
  • Once cool enough to handle, remove the garlic cloves. Spread on toast and enjoy!

Notes

You can store roasted garlic in the refrigerator for up to a week.
You can store the roasted garlic paste in the freezer - just freeze it in teaspoon or tablespoonful sized portions in a freezer bag or container. It should stay fresh in the freezer for up to 3 months.
