Gluten Free Bread Crumbs.

It's easy to make your own gluten free bread crumbs. This recipe is buttery, garlicky, and so delicious.

  • Break the dried pieces of gluten free bread into pieces and place in a food processor. Pulse until coarse crumbs form. 
  • Put the vegan buttery spread in a skillet and heat over medium heat. Once it is melted and sizzling, add the bread crumbs and garlic salt. 
  • Cook, stirring often, until the bread crumbs turn golden brown. Don't walk away from the skillet, they can go from golden to burnt very quickly. 
  • Remove the bread crumbs from the skillet and let cool. Serve on salad, casseroles, or pasta. Store in an airtight container if you aren't going to use them right away.

Notes

*If you need to toast several slices at once, you can place them on a cookie sheet and toast in the oven at 300 degrees until they are lightly golden and dry.
Store leftover bread crumbs in a glass jar or airtight container. They should stay fresh for about 4-5 days.
