Two Ingredient Chocolate Covered Cherries.

Fresh sweet cherries are dipped in dark chocolate for a deliciously decadent treat!

Ingredients

  • 30 sweet cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips I used dairy free chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Wash the cherries and remove the pits from the cherries using a cherry pitter. Set the cherries on a paper towel lined plate to dry.

  2. Place the chocolate chips in a small sauce pan and heat over medium low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth and melted. (You can also use a microwave to melt the chocolate if you prefer).

  3. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper.
  4. Place one cherry at a time in the melted chocolate and use a spoon to make sure it gets fully coated. Set the chocolate covered cherries on the prepared cookie sheet. You can use the spoon to drizzle a little more chocolate overy each cherry for a decoration if desired.

  5. Place the finished cherries in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

  6. Store the finished candies in the refrigerator. They should keep for 2-3 days.

You can use any kind of chocolate you like. For dairy free chocolate chips, try Enjoy Life or PASCHA Chocolate.

If you want to make these a little fancier, you can drizzle white chocolate on top, or top these with sprinkles while the chocolate is still melty.
