Super easy and delicious red lentil dip with fragrant Indian spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils picked over and rinsed
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the red lentils and enough water to cover them by one inch in a sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium low.
  3. Cook until soft, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. If there is any excess water left, drain off.
  5. Mash the lentils with a fork (they should be very soft already).
  6. Add the spices, and stir.
  7. Serve dip warm with crackers.
