How to Make a Flax Egg (Vegan Egg Substitute).

It's easy to make a flax egg substitute for vegan baking. Flax eggs work well in recipes for muffins, cookies, and more!

  • Place the ground flax seed meal and water into a small bowl, and stir to combine. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, until it becomes a gel. 
  • Do this for each egg that you are replacing in a recipe. 

Notes

You MUST use ground flax seeds to make an egg replacer. Whole flax seeds will not work.
Flax eggs can't be kept - make it and add it to your recipe. They will not last in the refrigerator.
