Instructions

  • Place the chocolate chips in a microwave bowl. Microwave for 45-60 seconds. Stir, then if they aren't melted, microwave for 10 second intervals until fully melted.
  • Spoon the melted chocolate into a lollipop mold. Press the sticks into each lollipop, and spoon more chocolate on top if needed. Try different shapes, like pumpkins or skeletons.
  • Put the lollipop mold in the refrigerator, and let the chocolate firm up for about 20 minutes.
  • Gently remove the lollipops from the mold. Place each one in a plastic wrapper, and tie with some baker's twine.
  • Store lollipops in the refrigerator.

Notes

You can use any chocolate chips that suit your dietary needs.
If you want to vary the flavor of these, try adding a few drops of peppermint extract, or stir in a little bit of sunbutter after you melt the chocolate.
I don't temper chocolate - you can go ahead and do that if you wish! It will have a hard finish if you temper it. My kids are fine with me just melting it and pouring it in the molds.
