How to make  gluten free vegan gingerbread


– ½ cup vegan buttery spread – ½ cup brown suga – 5 Tablespoons unsulfured molasses – 3 Tablespoons unsweetened applesauce – 2 ¼ cups gluten free flour blend – 1 teaspoon baking soda – ⅛ teaspoon salt – 2 teaspoons cinnamon – 1 ¼ teaspoon ground ginger – ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg


Grain free flours like coconut flour will not work. Use a gluten free flour blend like Namaste Perfect Flour or 123 Gluten Free Flour.  If you aren't gluten free, go ahead and use regular, all-purpose flour!

Mix the wet ingredients, then add the dry ingredients. The dough will be thick. Chill the dough for 2 hours.


Roll the chilled dough out. Make sure the surface is well floured, so the dough doesn't stick.


Cut out your cookies with whatever shape you like! Gently move them to a parchment lined cookie sheet.


Bake at 350 degrees F for about 11 minutes. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet before moving them.
