Ingredients

  • 2 cups Jasmine rice
  • 3 cups water or broth
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 3 Tablespoons vegan buttery spread

Instructions

  • Place the Jasmine rice, water (or broth), spices, and salt in a pot that has a lid.
  • Place the lid on the pot and bring to a boil, then turn the heat to low. Simmer on low for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the heat, but keep the lid on so the rice can steam for another 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the vegan buttery spread. Fluff rice with a fork and enjoy!

Notes

I like to make this with long grain rice like Jasmine or Basmati rice. I have even made this with brown Basmati rice, but it doesn't cook as quickly, so keep that in mind.
If you want to add more flavor to this, go ahead and use broth instead of water.
Store leftover rice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
When you reheat leftover rice, make sure it is heated to steaming.
