Valentine’s Day is just a few days away! Are you making Valentine treats? Are you helping your kids with their valentines to pass out to friends?
Or are you a last minute Lucy like me? I just realized yesterday that I had no clue what kind of valentines my boys were going to make to give to their little friends. And I only realized that because my friend mentioned making valentines with her kids.
Since our life is crazy right now and our house is a mess, I decided to just make a printable and have my older son sign his name on the back. I realize that I am not the only one scrambling with valentine stuff this week, so I thought I’d share my idea and printable with you today!
I was looking around at what I had in the house, and since I had crayons and washi tape, I decided to use those to make this cute little “Color Me Happy” valentine. They are super easy to make!
You will need:
washi tape (Target and Michael’s both have some cute washi tape. Or you can always browse Etsy – there are tons of colors and patterns available!)
Just print out the valentines on white cardstock, and cut them out. Let your child write his name on the back of each one.
Place a piece of double-sided tape on the cardstock, and lay the crayons on top.
Place a piece of washi tape on top of the crayons to hold them in place.
That’s it! You’re done!
Find the free printable HERE.
I know that a lot of schools don’t allow food treats anymore due to food allergies, so these are a nice alternative – still fun, and no risk of anyone getting cross contaminated.
What are you working on this week? Are you making valentines with your kids?
