Easy Mother’s Day Gift: Teeny Plants in Glittered Pots.

A festive and easy gift: diy succulents in glittered pots.

I have a really quick and easy (and cute!) DIY project for you today. Perfect for a last minute handmade Mother’s Day gift. They have such sweet little succulents in the garden department at Lowe’s, and I wanted to make an equally pretty container for this little one we picked up the other day. You know me, I always have glitter and mod podge around, so I decided to glitter up a tiny terra cotta pot.

You will need:

succulent craft

:: small plant (I chose a succulent)
:: small terra cotta pot (mine is 2″ in diameter, the smallest size they had at JoAnn Fabrics)
:: mod podge
:: glitter (I love Martha Stewart Glitter)(affiliate link)
:: paint brush

Brush mod podge all over your pot.

Cover with glitter and let dry.

Insert your plant…all done!

Look how cute and teeny and glittery!

Now I want to go get several of these guys and do more pots in different pastel colors…

    […] We’ve already told you of many ideas to paint a planter, from nail polish painting to painting with chalkboard paint, and here’s one more way to make a usual terra cotta pot cheerful and glamorous. The supplies are a small plant, a small terra cotta pot, Mod Podge, glitter, a paint brush. The steps are very easy: brush Mod Podge all over your pot. Cover with glitter and let dry. Now plant your pretty little flower or what you’ve chosen and enjoy your glam piece! Such a planter can become a great gift to any girl or may make your window sill glamorous and pretty! You can see more pictures of the process here. […]
